Do You Need to "Earn" or "Work Off" the Food You Eat?
🤗 A few evenings ago, my friends and I checked out a new ice cream shop. It’s a popular place, and aside from standing in line in the heat for-ev-er and that awesome feeling of sweat dripping down my back, it was a really great time, both ice cream-wise and friend-wise!
💡 And here’s something I want you to know:
🍦 I didn’t “earn” this ice cream because I ate “healthy” earlier in the day.
🍦 I didn’t vow to be “good” with my food choices the following day.
🍦And I didn’t “work it off” by exercising extra the next day.
😋 I simply enjoyed the cold, refreshing, sugary goodness with no strings attached.
🙅🏻♀️ You don’t need to “earn” or “work off” the food you eat.
🙃 And you certainly don’t need to feel guilty about your eating, unless, well, you stole the food.
😬 Food is meant to be nourishing AND pleasurable. And feeling guilty about food takes the pleasure out of eating.
👊 You have permission to enjoy [enter food of choice] without guilt, without “earning it” and without “working it off.”
