😇 I tend to be the golden child these days. The diet and wellness focused culture likes all things protein so you typically eat plenty of me.

*  My primary function is to help repair your body’s cells.

💪 Your body uses me to build muscle, but ONLY when you eat enough carbohydrates. **If you don’t eat enough carbs, your body won’t have the ENERGY to build muscle.**

🥜 There are 2 types of me: animal-based protein (beef, pork, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy, etc.) and plant-based protein (beans, legumes, nuts, nut butter, tofu, etc). It’s good to eat a variety of us!

🍖 I take longer to digest compared to carbs and fat so I’m more effective at filling you up. By having some of me with your meals and snacks, you are likely to notice you feel full longer.
