Should You Be Snacking?

I saw an IG post today that basically said we should not be snacking if we want to achieve our β€œbody goals.”

* Sigh...

πŸ‘Œ Please know that eating between meals (snacking) is absolutely OK!

πŸ‘ If your body tells you that it’s low on energy and needs food, eating is the right response.

πŸš™ What do we do if our car is low on gas? Yup, we fill our tank! It would be silly to expect our car to run on empty.

😊 Let’s treat ourselves as well as we treat our vehicles. (and preferably even better!)

πŸͺ I had a chocolate chip cookie and strawberry yogurt this afternoon because my tummy was growling. It was signaling to me that it needed food so I responded by giving it a snack.

⭐️ There are no rules to a snack, but I typically like to combine a protein, carb and fat, if I can. I find this combo filling and satisfying.

πŸ”Ή Yogurt = protein and carbs
πŸ”Ή Cookie = carbs and fat

πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Side note: I usually buy 2% or full fat yogurt because I think it tastes best, but I grabbed the wrong kind during my last grocery visit.
